Man, 74, hit and killed by car while crossing street in Queens: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 74-year-old man was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street in Queens on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.

Police said it happened at 217^th Street and Northern Boulevard in Bayside around 10 p.m. The victim was crossing Northern Boulevard when he was hit by a 2017 Chevy Tahoe, according to authorities.

Police said the 74-year-old man was taken to a local hospital where he died.

The 47-year-old driver remained at the scene, according to authorities.
