Man, 74, hit and killed by car while crossing street in Queens: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 74-year-old man was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street in Queens on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.

Police said it happened at 217th Street and Northern Boulevard in Bayside around 10 p.m. The victim was crossing Northern Boulevard when he was hit by a 2017 Chevy Tahoe, according to authorities.

Police said the 74-year-old man was taken to a local hospital where he died.

The 47-year-old driver remained at the scene, according to authorities.
